Stéphane Monnot est un auteur fan de rock. Dans les nouvelles de Number 13 baby, il s’inspire des albums qu’il écoute pour créer ses texte dans le style de l’écriture automatique.
Le but est de créer des textes dynamiques au service de la narration, du rythme et du sens. A l’encontre du livre classique, cette objet évoque l’esprit rock et plus précisement punk, grâce à la composition libre du texte dans l’espace ainsi qu’à ses résonances vibratoires et sonores.
Ces différentes mises en page des nouvelles sont définies par des mots ou des notions exprimés et ressenties dans le texte.
